Ashlee Simpson May Top 'Bilboard' Charts This Week

Billboard magazine is predicting that Ashlee Simpson's new album will debut at the top of this week's Billboard 200 album chart. According to predictions, sales of Ashlee's sophomore album I Am Me will be in the range of 250,000 to 270,000 copies. Her first album, Autobiography, debuted on the chart in July 2004, with almost 400,000 copies sold.
The first single from the album, "Boyfriend," has moved up to Number 24 on the Billboard 100 singles chart. Ashlee continues to maintain that the song is not directed at Lindsay Lohan, but she did admit on Larry King Live Saturday that she once dated Lohan's ex, Wilmer Valderrama. Ashlee says that at the moment, she doesn't have a boyfriend of her own. She said, "I'm single. Honestly, I've been on the road and traveling a lot, and I haven't really, you know, had the time to date anybody or anything. Well, I just haven't met anybody special." Ashlee added that she is not looking for a Hollywood romance, saying "I think that's the thing. I don't want to date a celebrity. I want to date a normal person."
