In 1989 a two-year study began regarding possible mid-life upgrades for the USAF's and European Partner Air Forces' (EPAF's) F-16A/Bs. 国军的更偏向b50而不是b15mlu

国军的是F-16 BLK 20，机体是BLK 15的，航电是MLU标准，机翼是CJ型（BLK 50）的，所以拿BLK 15 MLU改问题不大，但注意机头风挡前有大的“切鸟器”天线，不同于BLK 50/52的小“切鸟器”
