                Wrong
'Wrong' has a number of slightly different meanings.
                Adjective:
‘That is the wrong sock, it doesn't match the other one.’
                Adverb:
                ‘What am I doing wrong?’
                Noun:
‘He has done a great wrong by leaving the club before the end of the season.’
                Verb:
‘He wronged me, now he has apologised and I have accepted the apology.’
Make an example sentence using wrong in the following forms:
                - Adjective
                - Adverb
                - Noun
                - Verb

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends.”

                    Surprise
A ‘surprise’ is an unexpected event, something that happens when you are not expecting it to happen.
‘I arrived home and got the biggest surprise to discover that my brother was visiting from out of town.’
When something ‘comes out of the blue’ then it is a big surprise.
‘Her decision to come home before christmas came completely out of the blue.’
When something is a massive surprise, we can say that we are ‘astonished’.
‘I was astonished to find that the party had been moved from the club to the field by the management.’
Has anything happened to you, out of the blue recently?

                        Substitution
Look at these two sentences and notice the differences:
I have never been to America but my sister has been to America.
I have never been to America but my sister has been there.
Not those plates, I mean the plates in the corner.
Not those plates, I mean the ones in the corner.
To shorten sentences and still retain the meaning we can sometimes drop some words and substitute them with a single word.
In the above examples the word ‘there’ is substituted for the word ‘America’ and the word ‘ones’ is used for the word ‘plates.’
Instead of just leaving the word out, we substitute it with another word, usually ‘so’, ‘one(s)’, ‘do(es)’ and ‘did’. See some more examples below:
                        Replacing a noun phrase
                        A. Would you like to have a chocolate biscuit?
                        B. Yes I would love a chocolate biscuit.’
                        Substitution example:
                        ‘Yes, I would love one.’
                        Replacing a verb phrase:
I didn’t like the show, but everyone else liked the show.
                        Substitution:
I didn’t like the show, but everyone else did.
Look at the below example sentences, rewrite them with a suitable substitute:
                        Example one:
                        A. Would you like a piece of apple cake?
                        B. Yes, I would like a piece of apple cake.
                        Example two:
                        A. Did she buy the apartment?
                        B. Yes, she bought the apartment.
                        Example three:
                        A. I didn’t like the Lasagne, but all the other kids liked the lasagne.
Come back tomorrow and check the examples.
