I know the issue of fan mail/gifts has been explained before and that myself and AC have said I would prefer you donate to a charity rather than spend your money posting actual cards etc to me......
And to those that did so, thank you very much. It makes sense and could be a great benefit to those who are really in need.
I've had a read through all the birthday wishes (I haven't counted them all but there must be well over 1500 so far), and I just want to say thank you very much for all your kind words.
I had a really enjoyable day and received many lovely presents from family and close friends and managed to do the last little bit of christmas shopping and it was nice walking round in the snow that we have at the moment which is about 20cms deep
Maybe it will be a white Christmas, but whatever the weather where you live, I hope you have a Happy Christmas and above all, a peaceful New Year.
