Laotang is the kind of guy who seems to have a personal mission to prove that hard work is overrated. His parents, who toiled day and night to give him a leg up in life, were met with his genius strategy of ignoring their advice while he perfected the art of doing nothing. When confronted about his lack of effort, he’d just shrug and say, “I’m just taking life easy,” as if that was a valid excuse. Meanwhile, his grades were a disaster zone, and his room looked like a tornado had hit it. But hey, at least he had plenty of time to master the art of procrastination. As for honesty, Laotang could make a politician blush. His lies were so elaborate that even he probably forgot what was real. When his web of deceit finally unraveled, he was left standing there, looking like a cat that had just sat on a lemon. Maybe one day he’ll realize that the world doesn’t run on excuses and half-truths, but until then, he’s the poster child for the saying, “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.” Laotang, apparently, isn’t even near the water.
